Weโre delighted to share that ITVET has officially achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, building on our existing Cyber Essentials accreditation. This recognition provides independent verification that our IT security measures are robust and effectively implemented.
Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed standard that helps organisations protect themselves against the most common cyber threats. Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification within the scheme, requiring a detailed independent technical assessment that goes beyond the standard self-assessment process.
To earn this certification, ITVET underwent a comprehensive technical audit carried out by an external assessor. This included internal and external vulnerability tests, system reviews, and checks on our internet gateways, firewalls, and user devices.
The audit confirmed compliance across five key areas: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection, and patch management.
Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus demonstrates ITVETโs commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cyber security. It gives our clients and partners confidence that their data is protected and that our systems are resilient against evolving cyber threats.
This milestone reinforces our dedication to security, trust, and operational excellence in everything we do. A big thank you to everyone involved in the audit process for their hard work and attention to detail in preparing for and completing this assessment.
Recent cyber-attacks on major organisations such as Marks & Spencer and Jaguar Land Rover serve as a reminder of the growing risks businesses face. With less than 1% of UK companies holding Cyber Essentials Plus certification, ITVET is proud to be among the few leading the way in cyber security.
