ITVET and Stanhope Insurance donates equipment to local school

Students at The Petersfield School in Hampshire were delighted to receive 31 new PCs as part of the Laptops for Schools initiative.  

Stanhope Insurance generously donated the PCs following their latest IT upgrade. Rather than letting them go to waste, the team at ITVET reconditioned the equipment before it was donated to the school.  

Rachel Living, Director at Stanhope Insurance said ‘we are so pleased the school can make use of the equipment. It really didn’t feel right to get the PCs wiped and then disposed of when they had so much life left in them. Schools are incredibly short of resources, and this should mean they can spend the money put aside for an IT upgrade or something else for the students. The process was very easy and we’d encourage any business to look at this as a great way of helping their local school.’ 

ITVET’s Laptops for School initiative was set up to address the gaps in digital equality and inclusion in education. Every child should have access to online education and support.  

So far, over 250 pieces of equipment have been donated to schools and organisations across the region.
