Working at ITVET: A conversation with Infrastructure Manager, Keith Fountain

Welcome to our latest teammate profile. It’s a chance to look behind the scenes and get to know the people who make ITVET the company it is.   

This month, we’re talking to our Infrastructure Manager, Keith Fountain. He lives with his family in the beautiful village of Cold Norton in Essex, near ITVET’s head office. He joined ITVET in 2016 and worked in the Service Desk and Projects departments before being promoted to his current role.   

While our teams keep our client IT systems and infrastructure up and running, Keith and his team take care of ITVET.  

Tell us about your role as Infrastructure Manager

The infrastructure team provides the same level of IT support we would generally give to our clients. We look after the infrastructure, security and efficiency of all of our systems. We also ensure that all our remote workers have the best setups to work effectively, wherever they are.

I’m always looking for the best ways to integrate new technologies and reduce the carbon footprint of our infrastructure.

What do you like doing outside of work?

I have a few hobbies which I love spending time on. I’m not bad at darts and play for a local team. Hiking is another love of mine and I’m currently training to do the Three Peaks Challenge later in the year.

I enjoy an occasional track day too. I’ve driven a Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a Ferrari but I’d like to get behind the wheel of a Ferrari FXXK EVO  or Hennessey Venom F5.

Why do you like working at ITVET?  

The people are fantastic. We’ve built a great team here and I love being a part of it. ITVET really takes care of its people, and our benefits that focus on wellbeing and flexible working are great.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of joining ITVET?
