Local business, ITVET, has kindly donated laptops to St Augustineโs Primary School as part of their long-running Laptops for Schools scheme.
The Hertfordshire school received eight refurbished laptops with brand new chargers purchased by ITVET. They have a number of pupils who use laptops to enhance their access to the curriculum. This scheme allows the school to provide them with new laptops to use.
Gillian Napier, Head of St Augustineโs, said: โTechnology moves on so quickly, itโs hard for us to keep up. This generous donation from ITVET has helped replace the laptops that are now outdated, ensuring pupils continue to have reliable access to digital devices for their learning. Weโd like to say a huge thanks to ITVET for the new laptops. The donation is much appreciated, and the laptops will be well used.โ
CEO of ITVET Ltd, Richard Fountain, said: โItโs amazing to see the Laptops for Schools project continue to grow momentum after COVID-19. We really appreciate the donations from our clients and businesses across the UK that help us to continue to support children in need. Weโd like to encourage any businesses who have laptops they no longer use and are still in working condition to send them to us as itโs clear thereโs still a great need.โ
ITVETโs Laptops for Schools project started in 2020 with the aim to support schools tackle digital exclusion during the COVID-19 crisis. Laptops for Schools is still making an impact post-lockdown thanks to the continued support from businesses who donate their unwanted laptops. These laptops are wiped and refurbished by ITVET and then distributed to schools and community organisations that need them.
If your company has unwanted laptops in working condition, please get in touch with ITVET to arrange a collection. Find out more at: https://www.itvet.co.uk/laptops-for-schools.
