Ryan’s into fast cars and even faster deployments. For him, success means hitting deadlines, minimising downtime, and leaving bottlenecks in the dust. Always operating in the fast lane of IT, he brings speed and efficiency to every project.

Tell us about your role as a senior project engineer.

As a senior project engineer, I work closely with project managers, clients, and third parties to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects. My role involves auditing, configuring, and installing the required equipment, as well as providing hands-on technical support throughout the project lifecycle. I take pride in delivering excellent customer service – whether that’s over the phone, via email, or on-site. It’s my job to ensure every installation runs as smoothly as possible and meets the client’s expectations. 

Can you tell us about your journey in engineering and what led you to this role?

When I left school, I worked across all areas of the motor trade for around 10 years. Eventually, I decided it was time for a change and enrolled in an IT course. This gave me the foundational qualifications I needed, along with support in updating my CV and finding my first job in IT. Since then, I have progressed from build engineer through the helpdesk to my current position as senior project engineer.

What do you love most about working at ITVET?

The people!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I’m a big fan of motorsports – Formula 1, MotoGP, and BTCC are my go-tos. I also enjoy football and try to catch Newcastle home games whenever I can. Outside of sports, I love spending time with my wife and our dogs. When I’m not gaming, you’ll often find me working on one of my cars or enjoying track days.
