ITVET sprinkles festive joy on the Bishop’s Stortford community

ITVET is thrilled to embark on another round of our annual ’12 Days of Giving’ initiative. Throughout December, we’ll be actively contributing to the local community through donations, volunteering, and fundraising.

Here’s a glimpse of what awaits this year:

1. Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club

We’re proud sponsors of the U9 Boys and U9 Girls awards at Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club, having funded their trophies for the next few years. Eagerly anticipating the great achievements these young talents will unlock, we’ll be there with enthusiasm to cheer them on every step of the way!

2. Cards for Bravery

We’ve contributed 20 £5 Costa Coffee vouchers to bring a little warmth and comfort to the parents of seriously ill or hospitalised children, aiming to brighten their day.

3. Harefield Hospital and Grove Cottage

We’re hosting a festive fundraising day featuring a Christmas Bake Off, where the mayor will kindly serve as a guest judge! Our talented teammates will showcase their finest bakes for a chance to win a prize. To add to the merriment, it’s Christmas Jumper Day – keep an eye out for some priceless photos of our teammates donning their most festive reindeer and tinsel-laden getup, spreading joy and contributing to the cause through donations.

4. Tye Green Lodge

We sprinkled some joy on Tye Green Lodge Care Home by fulfilling the residents’ wish for furry friends to visit the home. Becky, Andrea, and Sydney, accompanied by their delightful dogs (Eddie, Holly, and Callie), made a heartwarming visit to brighten the residents’ day. Additionally, ITVET contributed £200 to support more wishes, including a planned trip to London for cocktails. Here’s to more smiles and special moments made!

5. Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank

Teammates have been contributing food donations for Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank, complemented by ITVET’s addition of sanitary products, nappies, and toiletries.

6. Animal Rescue Charity

Teammates have joined forces to bring in generous donations of pet food and supplies, helping to ease the financial burdens that are often associated with the continuous care for pets in need. Proud to provide additional relief and support to the charity, ITVET has not only contributed but also purchased extra supplies, demonstrating our dedication to the welfare of these special companions through our collaboration with Animal Rescue.

7. YMCA

One thoughtful and generous teammate has contributed a nearly new sofa to the YMCA, with ITVET covering the delivery charges. In addition, we’ve extended our support by donating Christmas decorations, along with warm hats, scarves, gloves, and essential household items to aid those in need.

8. Bishop’s Stortford Child Contact Centre

We’ve contributed toys to support the new opening of the centre in Sawbridgeworth. In alignment with our Laptops for Schools initiative, we’re repurposing laptops to assist the centre. Additionally, we’ve invested in a pop-up football goal and footballs to help create a fun and active experience for both children and parents.

9. Apex Strength & Wellness Gym

The Marketing team generously invested their time in supporting Apex Gym, actively promoting its diverse programs catering to both beginners and seasoned fitness enthusiasts. With offerings designed to accommodate everyone, Apex Strength & Wellness Gym is a no-brainer new year’s resolution to stick to in 2024!

10. School Raffles

In the spirit of giving during December, we’ve contributed to the fundraising efforts of five local schools. Our donations feature raffle prizes, including alcohol and gift sets, along with two £100 gift cards to spend at The Entertainer.

11. Company at Christmas

For those spending Christmas day alone, we purchased 132 Christmas crackers and 12 Christmas puddings, to help spread the festive joy.

12. Bishops Fundamental Costs

We purchased more than 100 school uniform items for BFCS, aiming to offer affordable and accessible options to those facing financial challenges when it comes to kitting the kids out for school.
